MOOCs? MOOCs, or Massive, Open Online Courses, have been characterized from both ends of the spectrum, from the ultimate means of bringing higher education to the masses to the beginning of the end of higher education.

You are in a unique position to judge this model, because you are both a current user of educational services while also being on the verge of delivering service to students.

First…  Pick any course from one of the demonstrated providers, CourseSites, Udacity or EdX.  Sign up for it and give it a 30-45 minute evaluation.  What can you tell me about the design of the course?  How is the course assessed?  How is content presented?  Could you learn the stated objective of the course in this format?  Please utilize screenshots or a screencast (whichever will help make your point).

Second…  So, would this work for your intended age group and content?  Why or why not?
